Business Affairs Assistant Job Opportunity

With a diverse catalog of 70,000 songs, a roster of over 300 artists, and a comprehensive suite of services – we’re a one stop shop for our clients, which include some of the biggest brands in the world.
We’re looking for a highly competent Business Affairs Assistant to serve as the operational backbone of our Business Affairs team. You’ll help ensure things run smoothly behind the scenes, so our clients, composers, and team members have the support they need.
This role is highly administrative and detail-oriented. You’ll help with contracts, onboarding, billing, reporting, and royalty administration. Success in this role comes from being organized, reliable, responsive, and genuinely enjoying keeping things in order and on track. To be successful, you must also thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and remote work environment.
What You’ll Do
You’ll support the day-to-day operations of the Business Affairs team, including:
- Create estimates, invoices, and supporting billing documentation
- Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
- Assist with the organization and execution of contracts and fully executed agreements
- Maintain payment information and required onboarding documentation
- Track license expirations, live links, and renewal timelines
- Support royalty administration and payment processing across multiple channels
- Complete bi-weekly DSP content ingestion and distribute data to partners and vendors
- Calculate and distribute weekly revenue reporting
- Coordinate Business Affairs meetings, agendas, scheduling, and follow-up items
- Maintain spreadsheets, databases, and internal systems
- Conduct research and special projects as needed
- Partner with internal team members and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless client and composer experience

- You’re excited to learn. You might not have extensive experience in music licensing or royalty administration, but you’re innately curious, adaptable, willing to admit when you don’t know something, and driven to figure things out.
Qualifications
- 1+ years experience in administrative support, operations, coordination, or a related field
- Experience working with Excel and/or Google Sheets, including formulas and data tracking
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort learning new technology, systems, and processes
- Experience using AI and automation tools to improve efficiency is a plus
- Familiarity with music licensing, production music, royalties, or the music industry is helpful, but not required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Ability to travel onsite one week a year for our annual team retreat
- You live in the US, and you have ability to work east coast hours (EST)

- Base compensation of $20/hour (approximately $41,600 annually)
- Monthly phone and internet stipend ($480 annually)

We’re looking for a highly competent Account Assistant to serve as key support for our Account Team.
This is a sales support role, and it is highly administrative and detail-oriented. You’ll help with research and data management, client outreach, booking meetings and screenings, generating new business leads and relationships, implementing sales strategies, and expanding our footprint in the marketplace.
Success in this role comes from being organized, reliable, responsive, and genuinely enjoying keeping things in order and on track. To be successful, you must also thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and remote work environment.
What You’ll Do
You’ll support the day-to-day operations of the Account Team, including:
- Client and prospect research (targeting, organizing leads, finding contact info, etc.)
- Updating and maintenance of our CRM (Hubspot), databases, and internal systems
- Creating and maintenance of team documents, including pitch decks, screening presentations, guides, and other resources
- Outreach support via emails, calls, and meetings
- Travel planning, booking meetings, screening prep, shipping of client gifts and mailers
- General Assistant duties, including managing calendars, scheduling, and notetaking
- Additional support tasks and projects as assigned
