The idea
Adrien Brody plays himself, preparing to play a TurboTax expert. The trouble is that he brings the full weight of an Oscar winner to the role, when the whole point of a TurboTax expert is to take the drama out of taxes.
The campaign ran as a two-minute film in theaters and online, a 45-second spot just before halftime of Super Bowl LX, and shorter cuts for the pregame and social.
What we did
Score a Score created the custom music for the campaign. Steve Sopchak, Miles Hankins and Dan Rosen composed it, with Max Ferguson producing and Jordan Passman as executive music producer.
The result
“The Expert” aired on February 8, 2026, TurboTax’s 13th Super Bowl campaign. It won Bronze at The One Show in Cinema Advertising and a Merit for celebrity casting, was shortlisted at the Clios and in several shots Ad of the Year categories, and made multiple publications’ lists of the year’s top Super Bowl campaigns.
